Bone mending (sandhaniya)
Sandhaniya herbs support the healing of fractures and damaged bone tissue by enhancing regeneration and improving circulation to injured areas. Guggul (Commiphora mukul) is the most celebrated example, with its resinous compounds stimulating repair and reducing inflammation. Other important sandhaniya herbs include comfrey (Symphytum officinale), ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and boswellia (Boswellia serrata).
Boswellia is used externally to accelerate wound healingand broken bones, particularly if there is local inflammation. Resins play a central role because they are viewed as the ‘blood’ of plants, and just as resin seals and repairs bark, these substances help mend bone and promote faster recovery.
