Blood (raktavaha srotas)
The blood channels (raktavaha srotas) responsible for blood circulation, transporting oxygen, nutrients, and vital substances, originate primarily from the liver and spleen. They include arteries, veins, capillaries, and subtle microchannels connecting organs and extremities.
Imbalances in these channels, often caused by excessive hot, oily, or spicy foods, sun exposure, or lifestyle factors, can lead to disorders, such as skin diseases, bleeding tendencies, inflammation, or systemic illness. Ayurvedic therapies like panchakarma, proper diet, and lifestyle practices maintain unobstructed flow.
The blood channel specifically nourishes the blood tissue so herbs relevant for blood tissue will also be relevant for this channel.
