Nourishing (brmhaniya)
Brmhaniya herbs are deeply nourishing, supporting tissue building, hormonal and emotional balance. They tend to be snigdha (unctuous), mrudu (softening), and sheeta (cooling), making them ideal for restoring depleted inherent immune function (ojas). Examples include shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), a rejuvenative for the reproductive systems; ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), which is warming, grounding and strengthens the nervous system; and liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), sweet, soothing, and restorative to mucous membranes. These herbs replenish vitality, stabilise vata dosha and cultivate a sense of inner nourishment building resilience during seasonal or life transitions
