I grew up in rural Flanders, Belgium and from a young age I roamed the wild and wonderful countryside with my grandmother and mother, soaking up as much information as possible about local healing plants and traditional herbal medicine. This heritage led me to investigate the benefits of herbal medicine at university level in the UK and I enjoyed this return to my ancestral roots so much. I am a fully qualified Medical Herbalist with a BSc (Hons) degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster, London and graduated in 2008. I have been a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and the Herb Society since 2005.
What do I do? I work with people to help them achieve better health, using plant medicine, and I treat a wide range of conditions with a specific interest in hormonal health and emotional wellbeing. I also spend some of my time teaching herbal workshops and hosting herbal walks and talks to help raise more awareness of herbal remedies. I am passionate about sharing ways to make simple remedies at home, and about bringing herbal knowledge back to the people.
Practising herbal medicine is such an honour for me, it is my life’s work. I feel privileged that people trust me with their health and life stories, and by using the powerful effects of natural plant medicine I help them regain health, vitality and wellbeing.
