I trained with the International Register of Consultant Herbalists & Homeopaths (IRCH) qualifying in 2008 after eight years of study. I moved to Devon 25 years ago to live on an organic smallholding growing as much food for ourselves as possible. This developed into a passion for medicinal herbs leading to me becoming a Medical Herbalist. I have built up my practice which I run from a wonderful room specially created in the garden area. I also offer a number of clinics in North and West Devon.
My mantra is “local herbs for local people” so I grow as many herbs as possible and wildcraft others to make my own tinctures, teas, salves etc. Sharing my knowledge of herbal medicine in order to make it accessible to as many people as possible is so important to me and I run courses locally as well as giving talks and demonstrations. I am also the Director of Studies for the IRCH overseeing the training of future herbalists which is an incredible privilege. The college has been providing training in traditional Western Herbal Medicine since 1960.
